Anishnabeg Outreach operates as "a small indigenous employment agency" receiving subsistent funding through OFIFC and Employment Ontario. The organization assists Indigenous people, newcomers, Ontario Works recipients, and individuals with disabilities in obtaining meaningful employment.
"What they really want is their own fishing pole in order to feed themselves." Stephen, the newly hired Executive Director, with board approval, launched AO Home window washing services as a pilot business to generate self-sufficient funding.
